FED: Beazley accuses Reith of taking sides

CANBERRA, Feb 25 AAP - Opposition Leader Kim Beazley has accused Workplace Relations
Minister Peter Reith of encouraging disputes after it was revealed the government would back
building contractors involved in fights with unions.

Mr Beazley said Mr Reith did not understand his responsibilities.

"The Australian people expect him to hold the ring in industrial disputes, not take sides,"
Mr Beazley told reporters in Perth.
